Frequently Asked Questions

Twelve straight answers about private yacht charters in Saint-Barthélemy: prices, inclusions, seasons, itineraries and policies.

Everything about chartering in St Barts

How much does a private yacht charter cost in St Barts?

Rates depend on the yacht (Lagoon 55, Pardo 43 or Contender 39), the formula (half day, full day, sunset cruise, St Martin trip) and the season. Every charter is all-inclusive — professional captain, crew and fuel are always covered. Exact pricing for your date is shown in real time in our online booking; payments in euros or US dollars.

What is included in the charter price?

Every charter includes a professional captain and crew, fuel, soft drinks, snorkeling gear and water-sports equipment. Full-day charters also include a gourmet lunch served on board. Premium extras (champagne, chef, photographer) can be added when booking.

Do I need a boating license to charter a yacht in St Barts?

No. All our charters are fully crewed: a professional captain and crew handle the navigation while you enjoy the day. You just choose the itinerary with them.

How many guests can you accommodate?

Up to 25 guests aboard the Lagoon 55 catamaran, and up to 12 guests aboard the Pardo 43 motor yacht or the Contender 39. For larger groups, the Lagoon 55 and Pardo 43 can cruise together (Combicata formula).

Where do the charters depart from?

All charters depart from Gustavia harbor, in the center of St Barts. Pick-up at your villa’s closest beach or at a hotel pontoon can be arranged on request.

Can we do a day trip to St Martin?

Yes. The St Martin day trip (9:00 AM–4:30 PM) visits Fourchue Island, Tintamarre and Pinel Island, and is available on all three yachts. Fast one-way private transfers between St Barts and St Martin can also be arranged aboard the Contender 39.

When is the best time of year for a yacht charter in St Barts?

The island enjoys warm water and 80°F+ weather year-round. High season runs from November to April with the calmest seas; the festive weeks (December 20 – January 5) are the most in demand and should be booked well in advance.

How far in advance should I book?

Our booking system shows live availability and confirms instantly. In high season (November–April) we recommend booking 2–4 weeks ahead; for the festive season, 2–3 months ahead.

What is your cancellation policy?

Standard policy: free cancellation more than 30 days before the charter; 30% fee between 15 and 30 days; 50% between 8 and 14 days; 100% within 7 days. Festive season (December 20 – January 5): 30% more than 30 days out, 70% between 8 and 30 days, 100% within 7 days.

How can I pay? Do you accept US dollars?

You can pay online by credit card (secure Stripe checkout) or by bank transfer. Rates are in euros and US dollar payments are accepted. A deposit confirms the booking; the balance is due before the charter.

Are children welcome on board?

Absolutely. Families charter with us every week — tell us the children’s ages when booking so the crew prepares the right safety equipment. The Pinel Island and Colombier stops are favorites with kids.

What happens in case of bad weather?

Safety first: if conditions are unsuitable, the captain will propose an adapted itinerary on the leeward coast, another time slot or a full reschedule at no cost. Charters cancelled by us for weather are fully refunded.
