Data we collect
- Booking data: name, email, phone, charter date, number of guests, requests and extras you choose.
- Payment data: card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Guest check-in: lead guest details and signed safety waiver on the day of the charter.
- Website usage: pages visited, device, approximate location and the source of your visit (for example an advertising campaign), through cookies when you allow them.
Why we use it
- To confirm, organise and invoice your charter, and contact you about it (performance of the contract).
- To meet legal accounting and tax obligations.
- To measure our audience and the effectiveness of our advertising (with your consent).
Cookies
We use Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies to measure visits and bookings. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and French territories, they are only used after you accept. You can change your choice at any time: .
Who receives your data
Only the service providers needed to run our business: Stripe (payments), Google (email, analytics, advertising), our hosting provider in the European Union, and, when a booking is made through them, the partner (hotel, villa agency, concierge) who referred you. The boat crew receives what is needed to welcome you on board. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Booking and invoicing data: 10 years (legal accounting obligation). Analytics data: 14 months. Emails and messages: as long as needed to handle your request.
Your rights
You can access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time by writing to contact@w-yachting.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL, cnil.fr).
