St Barts to St Martin Day Trip

Cross to the neighboring island aboard your own crewed yacht: snorkel with sea turtles at Tintamarre, stop for lunch at Pinel Island and swim at uninhabited Fourchue on the way home.

Turquoise shallow lagoon and white sand beach at Pinel Island, St Martin

Two islands, one day

St Martin sits on the horizon from St Barts, and the best way to get there is not the ferry — it is your own private yacht. The St Martin day trip runs from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, departs from Gustavia harbor and is available on all three of our yachts.

The itinerary strings together three very different islands: Tintamarre, famous for its sea turtles and natural clay “mud bath”; Pinel Island, a shallow turquoise lagoon with two laid-back beach restaurants; and Fourchue, the uninhabited island in the marine nature reserve, on the way back to St Barts.

The day, stop by stop

Your captain adapts the order and timing of the stops to the wind and the swell. A typical St Martin day trip looks like this:

9:00 AM

Departure from Gustavia harbor and briefing with your captain.

Morning

Tintamarre Island: a wide anchorage in shallow, clear water — snorkel with sea turtles and try the natural clay mud bath.

Midday

Pinel Island: the lunch stop of the itinerary, a shallow lagoon lined with two beach restaurants. Ideal with children.

Afternoon

Fourchue Island on the way home: moor on a buoy and snorkel over rays, turtles and tropical fish in a protected bay.

4:30 PM

Back at the dock in Gustavia.
