Why St Barts sunsets belong at sea
From the water, a St Barts sunset is unforgettable. A sunset cruise with St Barth Yachting is a private outing for your group only: you board in Gustavia harbor in the late afternoon, your captain heads out along the leeward coast and times the route so you are in the right place when the sun drops behind the islets.
It is the most romantic way to end a day on the island — and an easy format for families and friends after a day at the beach. Champagne and canapés can be arranged on board, and for a real occasion the Lagoon 55 turns into a private dining room on the water.
Four ways to catch the sunset
Sunset Cruise
5:00 – 7:30 PM · all three yachts
Two and a half hours along the leeward coast as the light turns gold. The short, elegant option — available on the Lagoon 55, the Pardo 43 and the Contender 39.
Afternoon + Sunset
1:00 – 7:30 PM · Lagoon 55, Pardo 43
Beach time, snorkeling and golden hour in a single outing: anchor at a west-coast beach for the afternoon, then stay out for the sunset.
Full Day + Sunset
9:00 AM – 7:30 PM · Lagoon 55, Pardo 43
The grand version: ten and a half hours on the water, every signature anchorage and dinner-hour light on the way home. A favorite for birthdays.
Sunset Dinner Cruise
5:00 – 9:00 PM · Lagoon 55
A private dinner at sea: the table is set on deck while the sky turns gold over Gustavia. Up to 25 guests.
A sunset cruise, step by step
No two evenings are identical — the captain adjusts the route to the wind, the swell and the time of sunset. Here is how a typical sunset cruise unfolds:
Welcome aboard in Gustavia harbor and a short briefing with your captain.
Cruise out along the leeward coast as the light softens and the colors of the sky start to change.
The boat settles in position as the sun drops behind the islets — champagne and canapés if you have arranged them.
Back at the dock in Gustavia. Sunset Dinner Cruise guests stay on board until 9:00 PM.
Which yacht for your group?
Lagoon 55
55 ft luxury catamaran, up to 25 guests, 4 cabins and an outdoor lounge. The only yacht for the Sunset Dinner Cruise, and the most stable, spacious deck for groups.
Pardo 43
43 ft Italian motor yacht, up to 12 guests. Sleek and photogenic — the couples’ favorite for a sunset cruise or an afternoon + sunset outing.
Contender 39
39 ft sport boat, up to 12 guests. Available for the classic sunset cruise for groups who prefer a sportier ride.
More than 25 guests? The Lagoon 55 and Pardo 43 can cruise together — see the Combicata formula.
